Pop star and actress Selena Gomez is taking her culinary skills out of her home kitchen and into some of Los Angeles’s top restaurants in an all-new Food Network series ‘Selena + Restaurant’. In this article we talk about: Selena Gomez Takes On LA’s Food Scene in ‘Selena + Restaurant’.
After finding huge success with her at-home cooking show ‘Selena + Chef’ and the holiday follow up ‘Selena + Chef: Home for the Holidays’, Selena is ready for a new challenge – cooking alongside the top chefs at LA’s hottest restaurants.
In each of the six episodes, Selena and her best friend Raquelle Stevens will enter the kitchens of an acclaimed LA restaurant, where they will learn from and be tested by the executive chefs. Their goal is to create a dish that’s good enough to actually make it onto the real restaurant’s menu.
The Restaurants and Chefs Featured
Some of the most popular and award-winning restaurants and chefs in LA will be featured on ‘Selena + Restaurant’, including:
- Cut Steakhouse – Wolfgang Puck
- Ms. Chi – Shirley Chung
- Lemon Grove – Marcel Vigneron
- Moo’s Craft Barbecue – Andrew and Michelle Muñoz
- Girl & the Goat – Stephanie Izard
- Alta – Keith Corbin
In addition to the cooking challenges, each chef will highlight a charity that is important to them in their episode. All of the featured charities will receive a donation from the show to help support their cause.

“After cooking mostly virtually from my kitchen with some of the best chefs for the last four years, I was thrilled to step into their world,” said Selena about her restaurant adventures.
Betsy Ayala from Warner Bros. talked about Selena’s culinary journey from her home kitchen to restaurant-quality cooking, saying: “Selena’s culinary journey has riveted viewers from day one as she has elevated her kitchen skills on her Emmy-nominated series, Selena + Chef.
